In this interview, Beau Eckstein answers two important questions.

The first question has to do with the biggest mistake Beau sees with house flippers. Beau sees some parallels with the market turn of 2008 and 2009, but there is one big difference:

Lack of inventory.

What IS happening with house flippers that WILL hurt them, even in a good market, is overextending themselves. Many first-time house flippers had early success and then went out and bought more properties than they could manage.

Then cost overruns and timeline misses killed them.

Beau's other advice is that house flippers should build strong relationships and get multiple bids on all the renovation work.

This is where that relationship networking comes in: As a house flipper, you need to have a close relationship with your general contractor. If you don't, you will quick run over budget and miss deadlines.

And this means that you LOSE MONEY.

Of course, losing money is not something anybody wants to do.
